Symantec Appoints Donald E. Frischmann As Vice President Worldwide Communications And Brand Management
Symantec recruits IBM Americas Vice President of Communications to strengthen and align
companyıs worldwide communication and brand management strategies
CUPERTINO, Calif. Oct. 6, 1999 - Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC)
today announced the appointment of Donald E. Frischmann, as Vice President
Worldwide Communications and Brand Management. He was Vice President of
Communications, Americas Sales and Distribution at International Business
Machines Corporation.
Frischmann, a 29-year veteran of IBM, held a number of management and executive
positions in marketing communications and public relations. His responsibilities
included public relations for IBM products, including the introduction of the
S/390, AS/400 and RS/6000 product lines.
His role with Symantec is to implement worldwide communications and brand
management strategies to strengthen Symantecıs positioning in the corporate and
consumer markets.
