Secure Computing Millennium Awards Confirms Symantec’s Norton AntiVirus is The Winning Solution and Honors Symantec Expert 4.1 as Finalist
CUPERTINO, Calif. - April 17, 2000 Symantec Corporation, the world leader in Internet security, took top honors at the Secure Computing Millennium Awards held last night, winning accolades for Norton AntiVirus. The company’s flagship product was awarded the Secure Computing Readers Trust Award for Best Antivirus Product 2000; the Secure Computing Academy Award for Best Antivirus Product 2000; and the Principle Award for Best Security Software overall, a category comprising all the category winners. Symantec Expert 4.1, the first comprehensive network risk analysis tool, was also honored as a finalist in the Best General Security category.
