News Release Symantec Security Expert Addresses WebSec 2000 Conference CUPERTINO, Calif. - Aug. 22, 2000 - Symantec Corporation, a world leader in Internet security technology, today announced one of its chief architects, Char Sample, will present at the WebSec 2000: The E-Security Conference and Expo in San Francisco, Calif., August 22 - 24. Sample offers security expertise in a session entitled, "Comparing Firewall Technologies, " which will be held on Aug. 23 from 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. "Increasingly sophisticated threats from the always-on broadband connection require IT professionals to exercise full protection on their network servers," said Sample. "This seminar provides IT professionals with information on the strengths and weaknesses of today's technology, the background and significance of firewall protection, and solutions to combat various Internet security attacks."
