Symantec Security Expert to Discuss Intrusion Detection at the Informationweek Fall Conference
CUPERTINO, Calif. - Sept. 7, 2001 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), a world leader in Internet Security, today announced that Charlie Johnson, vice president of global business development for Symantec Security Services, will speak at the InformationWeek Fall Conference on Monday, September 10, 2001 in Tucson, Arizona. Johnson's presentation will educate attendees on successfully selecting, deploying and managing their intrusion detection systems (IDS). After this presentation attendees will be able to:
- Select the right IDS solution to enable business operations,
- Know how and where it should be deployed,
- Know how to configure and manage it effectively,
- Respond effectively when the alarms go off, and
- Understand the pros and cons of managed IDS outsourcing services.
