Symantec CEO to Give Keynote at
Energy Security Council Annual Conference
CUPERTINO, Calif. - March 27, 2002 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), the world leader in Internet security, today announced that John W. Thompson, Symantec chairman and CEO, will give the keynote address at the Energy Security Council (ESC) Annual Conference, held at the Woodlands Resort and Conference Center in Houston, April 2-4. The ESC Annual Conference provides a forum where energy security professionals can meet to address and find solutions to issues in the energy sector that impact business operations security.
Thompson will speak on April 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and will focus on "Critical Infrastructure in the Global Marketplace." Thompson will address the implications of our nation's increasing dependence on technology and the potential dangers of that dependence when it comes to the nation's critical infrastructure.
