Symantec Expert to Discuss Blended Threats with Automotive Manufacturers, Suppliers at eAutoWorld 2002 Conference
CUPERTINO, Calif. - April 17, 2002 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), the world leader in Internet security technology, announced that security expert Archie Riviera will speak today at the eAutoWorld 2002 Conference on Automotive Information Technology.
As Symantec's director of consulting, Riviera is responsible for the Symantec Security Services consulting practice for both the Eastern and Federal regions. Riviera is participating as a panelist on the "Cyberthreats: Setting Security Priorities" panel where he will discuss why the automotive industry is susceptible to blended threats. Riviera will also discuss the nature of Internet threats to e-commerce applications and the importance of a "security in depth" approach in combating the new forms of Internet attacks.
