Symantec CTO to Speak at Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference- Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq:SYMC), the world leader in Internet security, today announced that Rob Clyde, Symantec's vice president and chief technology officer, will participate in a panel discussion at Computerworld's Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz. The panel "Whose Disaster Is This, Anyway" is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 8:45 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort.
The panel will simulate a scenario that is equal parts physical disaster and massive cyberattack, forcing a company into a situation that makes business continuity of paramount importance. Panel members will play a specific role in this "situation room" roundtable and will grapple with everything from federal politics and public agency responsibilities to private sector roles and reactions.
The fourth-annual Premier 100 event keys into an extensive lineup of business and technology issues, encompassing top-level infrastructure and integration issues, security and business continuity, and ways in which IT can prove its value to the enterprise.
