Symantec CIO to Participate in Panel Discussion at Arizona State University Security Symposium
CUPERTINO, Calif. - Sept. 11, 2003
- Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq:SYMC), the world leader in Internet security, today announced that Mark Egan, chief information officer for Symantec, will participate in a panel discussion at Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business Security Symposium. The panel discussion, entitled "Impacting Economic Growth: Can We Secure The IT Infrastructure," is scheduled for Friday, September 12, from 11 a.m. - noon MT in the Old Main Ballroom on the campus of Arizona State University at Tempe, AZ.
The security symposium, entitled "Responding To Future Security Concerns With Emerging Technologies," is hosted by the Center for Advancing Business Through Information Technology (CABIT). The Center, established in 2002 by Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business, serves as a self-sustaining catalyst for a research and education partnership that focuses on collaboration, innovation, incubation and technology transfer of knowledge management, and software service innovations in the e-business environment. In a series of panel discussions and presentations, the security symposium will explore the potential of information technology to address growing security issues impacting business and the nation.
