Symantec Honored by Peers with Dual Codie Awards

Symantec DeepSight Threat Management System, Norton Internet Security Named Top Security Solutions by Software and Information Industry Executives

CUPERTINO, Calif. - June 14, 2004 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), the world leader in information security, today announced that Symantec solutions were voted Best Enterprise Security Solution and Best Security Product or Service by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) at the 19th Annual Codie Awards. Symantec DeepSight Threat Management System and Symantec Norton Internet Security were among only 41 products singled out from a field of 800 nominations to earn the prestigious designation by software and information industry executives. Symantec was one of just six companies to take home multiple 2004 Codie Awards.
