Symantec Security Expert to Speak at MIS Conference on Wireless Security
CUPERTINO, Calif. – Sept. 23, 2004
- Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), the global leader in information security, today announced that Tim Mather, senior director of information security for Symantec, will present at the MIS Training Institute’s Conference on Mobile and Wireless Security. Mather’s presentation, entitled “AirBorne Viruses: Securing Remote & Wireless Users,” is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 27, from 3:30 – 5 p.m., ET at the Boston Marriott Copley Place in Boston.
Mather will present a case study on how Symantec secures the organization’s mobile devices to the network, examining best practices and challenges faced by remote and wireless users. He will also provide an overall update about current mobile virus threats and the key steps necessary to combat airborne cyber attacks.
