Symantec Security Expert To Participate On MILCOM Panel Discussions
CUPERTINO, Calif. – Nov. 1, 2004 -
Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq:SYMC), the global leader in information security,
today announced that Brian Witten, director of government research
for Symantec, will participate on two panel discussions at the 2004
Military Communications Conference held at the Monterey Conference
Center in Monterey, Calif. The first panel discussion, entitled “Techniques
For Information Sharing and Security,” is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov.
2, from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. The second panel discussion, “Future Systems
Architecture,” is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 3, also from 9:15
to 11:30 a.m.
As director of government research, Witten is the primary liaison for Symantec Research Labs with public agencies and is in charge of coordinating efforts between Symantec and various government-supported information security research projects.
