Virage Logic Selects ON Technology Solution
to Automate Strategic Worldwide Roll-Out of CRM Applications

Leading provider of embedded memory Intellectual Property reduces IT costs while providing faster and more efficient support for local, mobile & remote professionals

Waltham, MA (May 7, 2002)- ON Technology Corporation (NASDAQ:ONTC), a leading provider of enterprise infrastructure management solutions, announced today that Virage Logic Corporation has selected ON Command CCM® to provide centralized management for PCs and laptops distributed across its offices worldwide. Virage Logic will also be using ON CCM's advanced management solution to automate its enterprise-wide roll-out of Windows-based applications and efficiently deploy ongoing updates for its business-critical customer relationship management (CRM) system. Virage Logic is a leading provider of embedded memory intellectual property (IP) and the fastest growing semiconductor IP company in the United States.

"After conducting a comprehensive evaluation, we selected ON Technology over competitive solutions such as Microsoft SMS," said Lee Donnelly, Director of Operations of Virage Logic Corporation. "ON Technology offers the most complete and cost-effective solution for efficiently managing remote software installations from a central location."

Donnelly continued, "Some of the features that particularly impressed us were the system's single consistent interface for managing all clients, whether local or remote, as well as its powerful agent technology for performing sophisticated 'silent installations' and unattended configuration of both operating systems and applications. We were also impressed by ON Command CCM's rapid implementation cycle and overall ease-of-use."

Unlike conventional management solutions that can only be used to deploy applications and content, ON Command CCM is the only enterprise-class system that offers end-to-end lifecycle management, including unattended operating system deployments and one-click disaster recovery for remote workstations.

By instantaneously pushing operating systems, applications, security patches, and content such as price list information over Virage Logic's existing network infrastructure (from centralized servers), ON Command CCM eliminates the need for technicians to travel to remote locations to install the latest software or rebuild malfunctioning systems. As a result, ON's innovative solution significantly reduces IT costs, maximizes uptime, and provides a powerful management infrastructure for ongoing updates and Help Desk support that greatly enhances end-user productivity and overall customer responsiveness.

"Virage Logic, an innovative technology leader in its own field, clearly understands the role that technology can play in providing strategic competitive advantage," said Robert L Doretti, Chairman, President and CEO of ON Technology. "We look forward to providing Virage Logic with world-class software and services that enable the company to successfully accomplish both its short-term and long-term IT objectives."
