ON Technology Appoints Abraham
N. Ayat as Vice President, Americas Field Operations
Experienced Executive to Drive
Continued Americas Business Expansion
Waltham,
MA, July 10, 2001 – ON Technology Corporation
(Nasdaq NM: ONTC), a leading provider of remote software
and content management solutions, announced today that
Abraham N. Ayat, age 38, has been appointed to the newly
created executive position of Vice President, Americas
Field Operations, effective immediately. Mr. Ayat brings
over fifteen years of hands-on management experience
in software sales, services and support. Reporting to
Robert L. Doretti, Chairman, President and CEO of ON
Technology, Mr. Ayat will be responsible for the Americas’
sales, customer support, professional services and field
marketing functions.

Until recently, Mr. Ayat served
as Vice President of North American Field Service and
Sales Support with Novadigm, Inc. (Nasdaq NM: NVDM),
where he established the North American Sales Support
Organization and grew professional services revenue
to record levels. Prior to his six-year tenure at Novadigm,
Mr. Ayat held key sales and sales support management
positions at OpenVision Technologies, Inc.
[currently Veritas Software (Nasdaq NM: VRTS)] and Ingres
Corporation [currently Computer Associates (NYSE: CA)].

Mr. Ayat holds a Bachelor of Science
in Computer Science from the University of San Francisco.
He is married and has two children.
