First Joint Customer
Partnership with $230 Million Solution Integrator Increases Ability of ON Technology
to Penetrate Public, Education and Healthcare Sectors
Waltham,
MA (Aug. 28, 2003) – ON Technology (Nasdaq:ONTC),
a leading provider of enterprise infrastructure management
solutions, today announced the formalization of its
partnership with ePlus Technology (ePlus), the $230
million technology division and wholly-owned subsidiary
of Herdon, VA-based ePlus Inc. (Nasdaq:PLUS). The partnership
allows ePlus to resell the
ON iCommand™ Suite and provide pre- and after-sale
service to its clients worldwide; ePlus will also include
ON iCommand as part of its consulting, implementation
and support services. The agreement further extends
ON Technology’s reach into the education, healthcare
and public sectors. The Office of the Attorney General
of New Jersey’s Department of Law & Public
Safety purchased ON iCommand in ON Technology’s
second quarter of 2003, and is the first joint customer
of this partnership.
ePlus is a leading provider of
Enterprise Cost Management software and services. With
a presence in more than 36 markets, a wide spectrum
of clients (including Fortune 1000, educational and
medical institutions, small to mid-size companies and
government agencies) turn to ePlus for technology strategy,
planning, acquisition, implementation and ongoing support.
ePlus chose to include ON iCommand as a complement to its offerings due to
the suite’s strong feature set and market traction.
Josh Montone, Director of Sales
for ePlus Technology, commented, “Since
we provide end-to-end technology solutions, our clients
look to us to provide the leading technologies and unsurpassed
support that enable more efficient operations. We chose
to incorporate ON iCommand into our offering because
its open, flexible and extensible architecture fits
our business model of providing value-added services
that tailor our solutions to the specific needs of our
customers. Adding ON iCommand to our product portfolio
gives us an important competitive edge in helping our
customers manage operational costs and increase the
security and reliability of their infrastructure.”
With ON iCommand, IT departments
can now perform critical management functions on thousands
of remote devices simultaneously, over any type of network.
ON offers a single unified solution for fast, reliable,
push-based deployment of operating systems, applications
and service packs, plus one-click disaster recovery,
network inventory and software license management. ON’s
solution uniquely allows IT to leverage investments
in tools such as Ghost, SMS, Wise, WinInstall, and ZEN
packages, and supports Windows, Linux & UNIX platforms.
“With their proven track
record with companies and organizations in the public
sector and markets such as education, finance and healthcare,
we are pleased to welcome ePlus to our family of value
added resellers and system integrators,” said
