Special Sneak Preview from ON Technology at Enterprise
Linux Forum in Boston December 3-4, 2002
WHAT: In January 2003, ON Technology will introduce
and launch ON Command CCM® for Linux - the industry's
first and only solution for end-to-end management of
Linux systems. ON Technology, a leading provider of
enterprise infrastructure management solutions, will
be at the Enterprise Linux Forum in Boston to discuss
and demonstrate ON Command CCM for Linux. The new product
will offer several key features to enterprises:
- Full lifecycle management - from hardware provisioning
to OS deployment to applications and content to updates
and patches to disaster recovery
- A single console for managing a heterogeneous environment
of Windows, Linux and other non-Windows-based desktops,
mobile devices and servers
- A platform and process to speed and ease the migration
to Linux
Enterprise Linux Forum attendees will have an exclusive
opportunity to see how this new breakthrough product
helps companies implement and manage Linux and Linux-hybrid
environments.
WHY: The attractive price point for Linux systems
and increasing support from industry leaders such as
IBM and Dell has enabled Linux to become a serious choice
when choosing platforms. Linux has deeply penetrated
the financial, telecommunications, government and retail
industries and made in-roads in many other industries.
Gartner estimates that 80 percent of its clients have
Linux deployed somewhere in the enterprise. As enterprises
make this transition, they need a management solution
that will help them through the transition and provide
the capability to manage the resulting environment.
WHERE: The Marriott Copley Place, located next
to the Enterprise Linux Forum at 110 Huntington Avenue,
Boston
WHO: ON Technology empowers IT organizations
and service providers to manage the full lifecycle of
their computing systems over large-scale corporate networks.

in over 775 global corporations.
