PowerQuest Increases Commitment to International Growth

Software Developer Hires New Vice President/General Manager of International Markets to Focus on Customer Relationships, Global Partnerships

OREM, Utah - May 21, 2001 - PowerQuest® Corporation, a leading provider of proven solutions for storage management, is increasing its commitment to its global customers as the company further develops its presence in international markets. PowerQuest has hired Michel Montandon as its vice president/general manager of international markets to lead this global growth.

Montandon has 20 years of experience in developing international businesses for Hewlett-Packard, WordPerfect, Seagate Software and Veritas. He has been instrumental in developing strategic alliances, creating and training management teams, and formulating software distribution networks across Europe and Asia. Montandon’s expertise will help PowerQuest strengthen its distribution base in Europe and Asia as the company expands its software solutions into mid-range enterprises.

“PowerQuest has a proven record of worldwide customer relationships,” said Montandon. “My efforts are focused on increasing those customer relationships as well as developing and strengthening global partnerships as PowerQuest expands its enterprise software solutions.”

PowerQuest recently released the PowerQuest PowerManage Suite™, an enterprise software solution that provides real-time management of Windows NT and Windows 2000 Server storage. This suite is the first in a series of product announcements that will provide storage management solutions for the midrange enterprise.

Montandon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electronics technology from Technical University Bern (GSB) in Switzerland.
