PowerQuest Adds Executive to Expand Strategic Partnerships, OEM Alliances
Storage management veteran joins management team

PowerQuest® Corporation, a provider of storage lifecycle automation to businesses worldwide, today named B.D. (Bill) Johnson as Sr. Vice President of Business Development and OEM Partnerships. Johnson has more than 30 years experience in information technology, with over 20 years in storage management.
Johnson is responsible for developing strategic alliances with storage software and hardware providers, including the integration of PowerQuest’s Storage Lifecycle Automation Management™ (SLAM) technology with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products.
“As PowerQuest continues to expand its solutions directed at automating the storage lifecycle, Bill’s role in building strategic alliances will be a fundamental part of the company’s growth strategy,” says PowerQuest President and CEO Paul T. Winn. “In addition to further developing our OEM relationships, Bill will be responsible for identifying development and business partnerships to accelerate our company’s growth.”
Most recently, Johnson was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer for ManagedStorage International. Prior to that, he was Vice President and General Manager of the Storage Management Software Business Group at Storage Technology Corporation. Johnson has also worked for Banyan Systems, Western Digital and Amdahl. He has an MBA from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University.
