PowerQuest Wins "Best Vendor" at EnterpriseVision Summer 2000
OREM, Utah - August 16, 2000 -
PowerQuest® Corp., a provider of proven solutions for storage management, was recognized for its corporate vision and technology by winning “Best Vendor” at EnterpriseVision Summer 2000, produced by Vision Events, a Gartner Group, Inc. company. PowerQuest was also a finalist in the “Best Software” category at EnterpriseVision Winter 2000 for ServerMagic™ and Drive Image® Pro.
"This award is another validation of PowerQuest’s innovation and strategic thinking," said PowerQuest Senior Director of Channel Sales and Marketing Bryce Stevens. "It’s wonderful to be recognized by EnterpriseVision for a second time this year as we continue to develop effective storage management solutions."
The Best Vendor award is based on a company’s corporate vision, technology and presentation at the event. PowerQuest representatives presented demonstrations of several products, including SecondChance™, Drive Image Pro and PartitionMagic™ Pro. As part of the presentation, judges made damaging changes to a hard drive of a computer, then PowerQuest representatives remotely restored the computer to its previous, working condition using SecondChance. Representatives showed how PowerQuest solutions can save time and money as they help IT professionals manage storage growth, deploy networked storage and protect data availability.
"Winning a Best of EnterpriseVision Award carries extra significance because the votes come directly from the industry’s leading integrators and solution providers serving the enterprise market," said John Madden, event director for Vision Events.
More than 80 top systems integrators and managers from companies such as Lockheed-Martin, PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd., EDS and CompuCom, gathered at the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. to review solutions and programs from enterprise vendors. Executives from these companies were exposed to the latest technology in the industry.
