PowerQuest, a storage management software company, the only Utah-based software company named to prestigious Inc. 500 list
OREM, Utah - Oct. 10, 2000 -
PowerQuest Corporation, a provider of proven solutions for storage management, was recognized as the 64th fastest growing private company in America by Inc. Magazine. The magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list ranks private companies based on percentage increase in net sales over the past five years. The most recent list, scheduled for publication later this month, covers sales figures from 1995 through 1999.
“PowerQuest’s placement on the Inc. 500 list is particularly gratifying since it represents consistent, sustained growth in an industry that is often volatile and uncertain,” said Eric J. Ruff, CEO and founder of PowerQuest. “PowerQuest’s continued success is a tribute to the foresight and dedication of the people who work here, identifying industry trends and markets and developing the solutions that address the needs of that market.”
PowerQuest is the second-highest ranked Utah company and the only Utah-based software company on the list. PowerQuest’s net sales grew from $1.8 million in 1995 to $51 million in 1999, an increase of 2,762 percent. To be considered for this year’s Inc. 500 list, companies were required to have sales of at least $200,000 in 1995 and an increase in sales in 1999 over 1998.
