Symantec Protection for SharePoint Servers

Symantec Protection for SharePoint Servers detects and removes viruses, spyware, and other threats on files uploaded to and downloaded from your SharePoint server(s). Using Symantec’s award-winning antivirus technologies it quickly scans files for potential threats. The product integrates into the SharePoint Administration Console to provide easy and seamless management of your SharePoint server environment.

SharePoint Requirements

  • Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2013 (64-bit are supported)
  • Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010 (64-bit are supported)
  • Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (both 32 or 64-bit are supported)
  • Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003
  • Windows SharePoint Services v2.0 or v3.0 Hardware requirements
  • Processor: 2.5 GHz. Dual processors that are 3 GHz each or higher is the recommended specification
  • Memory: 1 GB of RAM or higher. Recommended memory is 2 GB of RAM
  • Disk space: 515 MB of hard disk space
  • 1 network interface card (NIC) running TCP/IP with a static IP address

Software Requirements

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer® 6.0 (with the most recent service pack that is available)
  • J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 13 or later (within the version 5 platform) installed
