Symantec Gives Your Customers Free Time

Bonus Baby-G Watch with Symantec purchases this tax time

SYDNEY --NSW - May 6, 2002 -- Symantec Australia has added even more value to its popular Norton 2002 retail range, and reinforced its commitment to driving consumer sales for the retail channel through its latest promotional campaign. Customers will receive a bonus Casio Baby-G watch valued at $159.00 RRP when they purchase selected Symantec internet security and utilities products between 6 May 2002 and 30 June 2002 from participating retailers nationally.

"We actively search for ways to create interesting campaigns which will generate increased sales for our channel partners," said John Donovan, Managing Director Symantec Australia and New Zealand. "We hope to better the success of our Christmas DVD promotion which saw a marked increase in off the shelf sales."

Resellers agree that there is never a bad time to invest in Internet security products, with Gary Wheelhouse, Proprietor Harvey Norman Moore Park, stating: "Symantec products provide computer users with a trusted brand and product that offers value for money. Coupling a market-leading name with a quality bonus offer has been successful for both Symantec and resellers in the past and we look forward to seeing the results of this initiative."

From 6 May 2002 until 30 June 2002, consumers will qualify for this bonus offer by purchasing one of the following Symantec products (PC or Macintosh version): Norton AntiVirus 2002 Professional Edition; Norton Internet Security 2002; Norton Internet Security 2002 Professional Edition; Norton SystemWorks 2002; Norton SystemWorks 2002 Professional Edition; or the Norton SystemWorks 2002/Norton Personal Firewall 2002 Bundle.

To redeem a bonus watch, customers must complete their details on the on-box sticker and send it, together with a photocopy of their sales receipt and the cut-out cardboard barcode from the bottom of their product box to Symantec by July 15, 2002.
