Symantec's Act! 4.0 Wins Codie Award for "Best Business Software Upgrade"

ACT! 4.0 was one of only 38 winners out of more than 900 nominations this year

TORONTO - March 22, 1999 -- Symantec Corporation (Nasdaq: SYMC), the world leader in software for business and personal computing, has announced that ACT! 4.0 has won the Software and Information Industry Association's (SIIA) Codie Award for "Best Business Software Upgrade." The SIIA's annual Excellence in Software awards, known as the Codie Awards, re prestigious peer-recognition awards granted for excellence in today's software industry marketplace.

"Winning this upgrade Codie award signifies recognition for the effective enhancements to our ACT! product," said Christopher Calisi, vice president of Symantec's Remote Productivity Solutions Business Unit. "We appreciate the selection by our peers as they award ACT! 4.0 for its quality and innovation." The "Best Business Software Upgrade" Codie Award is for the best overall business software application.
