Symantec Solution Surpasses Competition in Innovation, Usability, Specifications and Value

This year, FOSE showcased Y2K policy speakers, products and solutions and presented in-depth, timely methods for addressing Y2K issues. Norton 2000 was the only Y2K product to receive a Best New Product Award at the show.

Government Computer News received 140 entries in 13 categories for the 1999 competition - up from 10 categories in previous years. A minimum of five editors independently judged each category's entries. Judges scored products for innovation, specifications, usability and value. The highest qualifying scores earned a spot on the finalist list and only the best in each category were named winners.

After meticulous evaluation, judges awarded Norton 2000 Best New Product - End-User Software. Norton 2000 is an effective Y2K solution that addresses century-date-issues including data, applications and the BIOS vulnerabilities - on desktop and laptop PCs.
