Tecumseh resident packs her bags for a trip to Hawaii

Toronto, ON. May 11, 1999 - Symantec Corporation of Toronto today announced the winner of its Grand Prize Holiday Give Away promotion. Mrs. Margaret Jones of Tecumseh has won a trip for two to Hawaii.

"I couldn't believe it when I answered the phone call," says Mrs. Jones. "At first, I thought it was a joke. This is a wonderful prize and my husband and I very excited about our holiday."

The contest featured more than (CDN) $50,000 worth of prizes including Sony camcorders, Sony digital cameras as well as assorted Symantec merchandise including watches, hats and t-shirts.

"We would like to thank everyone who entered the Holiday Give Away contest and extend congratulations to all the winners," says Chris Monnette, General Manager, Symantec Canada. "With more than 3500 ballot entries, this promotion was extremely successful for both our customers and retailers."

The Holiday Give Away promotion ran from November 1, 1998 to January 1, 1999 and was open to Symantec customers who purchased a copy of Norton SystemWorks, Norton AntiVirus, Norton Utilities or Norton Crashguard. Customers were required to complete and send in the ballot entry form enclosed with the software.
