Users can save $30 on the purchase of Norton Utilities or SystemWorks

Toronto, ON. May 17, 1999 - Symantec Corporation of Toronto today announced its latest Spring promotion involving three award winning Norton products.

"Our goal is to offer Symantec's customers the best utilities at an attractive price," says Chris Monnette, General Manager Symantec Canada. "Offering aggressive end user rebates helps deliver more value to our customers and drives the sales of our channel partners."

Customer's have two options with Symantec's Spring promotion:

With every purchase of Symantec's Norton Utilities 4.0, Norton SystemWorks 2.0 Standard, or Norton SystemWorks 2.0 Professional between May 15, and September 30, 1999 customer's will receive a $30 mail in rebate.

If customers purchase Norton Utilities 4.0 at the same times as they purchase Microsoft's new Office 2000, they will be reimbursed, via mail in rebate, for their purchase of Norton Utilities 4.0 (up to $69.95). They must purchase both products on the same invoice between June 1, 1999 and July 9, 1999. This rebate will replace the $30 rebate mentioned above.

The campaign is supported by point-of-purchase materials and signage. This promotion is only valid on individual software purchased with original receipt and UPC code from the original box. There is a limit of one rebate per household.
