SYMANTEC APPOINTS NEW MARKETING MANAGER
Jacqueline Hou is appointed as new Marketing Manager for mainland China and HK region
Beijing -- October 30, 2000 - The world leading Internet security technology provider -- Symantec announces the new appointment of Ms. Jacqueline Hou as Marketing Manager for mainland China/HK Region. The former Marketing Manager, Ms. Jocelyn Chung will be promoted to the position as Global Marketing Manager of Symantec Consumer Products Division in Cupertino, U.S.AĦAheadquarter of Symantec. Jocelyn will be in charge of global marketing issue on problem solving products, including Symantec Ghost Personal Edition, Norton SystemWorks, Norton Utilities and Norton CleanSweep.
Starting now, Ms. Hou will be responsible for marketing strategy lay out, marketing plan mapping and implementation, marketing channel development, marketing communication and promotion, products positioning, products pricing, advertising and PR, and exhibitions planning. Ms. Hou will focus especially on the promotion of Symantec localized products in China.
With abundant experience in IT corporations' PR and marketing promotion, Ms. Hou's joining will reinforce Symantec's leading position as Internet security technology provider in mainland China/HK Region.
Before joining in Symantec, Ms. Hou held Corporate Marketing Manager (China) in CA, responsible for marketing strategy promotion, marketing plan mapping and management as well as all issues related to corporate marketing. Ms. Hou has been working in CA for 5 years, and held different levels of positions in marketing communication.
Prior to that, Ms. Hou held position in Singapore G.T. Group Shanghai Office, responsible for marketing and media communication.
