Symantec's Allcorn speaks on cyber security at Hong Kong Information Infrastructure International Conference

Hong Kong -- February 20, 2000 - Symantec, the leader in Internet security has announced that Michael Allcorn, Senior Market Development Manager for the company will speak at the Hong Kong Information Infrastructure International Conference to be held from 22 to 25 February 2001 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Presenting on the first day of the conference, Allcorn will be speaking on Cyber Security - An Emerging Challenge for the Global IT World. In his presentation, Allcorn will explore how security has evolved and how companies are adopting new ways of managing their security risks. Allcorn will also highlight recent attacks and the challenges that they have created for organisations.

Allcorn has over 20 years of combined experience in Information Technology, Manufacturing and Oil and Gas. Prior to Symantec, Allcorn was Vice President of Global Services at L-3 Network Security where he lead security consulting. Allcorn is also a member of the Computer Security Institute and is a certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Lotus Notes Consultant, Netware Engineer (CNE) and Master CNE with specialisation in Infrastructure and Access.
