Symantec Appoints Marketing Manager for Indian
Operations
-Ambarish Deshpande appointed Symantec Marketing
Manager -
MUMBAI -- February 21, 2000 -- Symantec India, world leaders in Internet security
technology, have appointed Ambarish Deshpande as
Marketing Manager for its Indian operations. Ambarish
will be based in Mumbai and will be responsible for
strategising and implementing Symantec's marketing
operations in India.
The appointment of Ambarish as Marketing Manager, will
ensure greater visibility and penetration of
Symantec's products in the Indian market. Prior to his
appointment at Symantec, Ambarish was Business Manager
- Symantec products with Tech Pacific India Limited
(TPIL), and was responsible for distribution of
Symantec's products in India.
Before working with Tech Pacific India Limited,
Ambarish has had over five years of experience in
marketing, as Product Manager at Samsonite
International, the leading international luggage
manufacturing company. An MBA from Mumbai University,
Ambarish began his career with Onida where he worked
for three and half years and gained valuable
experience in sales and marketing.
