Elite Program

What is the Elite Program?

Elite, part of the Symantec Security License Program, is an easy-to-administer contractual plan that allows medium and large businesses to leverage their purchasing power, with upfront volume discount incentives or flexible forecasted planning.

Features & Benefits

  • Includes all Symantec enterprise products, eliminating the need to submit separate POs for traditional Symantec and former AXENT products.
  • Uses a standard two-year contract with minimal legal involvement—for easier software acquisition.
  • Allows customers to leverage the size of their organization to achieve the highest possible discounts, based on an aggregate of all the products purchased.
  • Offers a Commit (up-front purchase) or Forecast (over a two-year term) option to better meet customer needs.
  • Combines Technical Support, Upgrade Insurance, and Content Updates into Gold Maintenance—for better support and easier upgrade/renewal process.

Price Bands & Minimum Entry

Customer price bands are determined upon initial order:

Band A MSRP Band B MSRP Band C MSRP
€85,000 €140,000 €198,000

Minimum purchase requirements are at Band A:

  • Commit—€85,000 up front
  • Forecast—€85,000 forecasted over two years, with 25% of forecast (€21,250) as initial purchase

Gold Maintenance

Gold Maintenance (at a minimum) is:

  • Required for the term of the two-year Elite contract
  • Available in one and two-year increments
  • Bundled with AntiVirus & Filtering products

Contracts

  • Master Contract (Required) - Establishes the overall terms & conditions.
  • Commit or Forecast Addendum (One Required) - Establishes the contract price band and terms/conditions of the initial order.
  • Exhibit A (Required) - Indicates currency ranges for the price bands.
  • Global Territory Extension (Optional) - Allows customers to add global subsidiaries and to use software purchased via the Master Contract at any location worldwide
  • Subsidiary Agreement (Optional) - Is used for subsidiaries who wish to nominate their own reseller and purchase locally in their own name

Order Process

Calculating the Total MSRP Value

  • Determine the products and quantity required
  • Multiply the quantity by the Forecast Band A MSRP (see regional price list) for an extended cost per product.
  • Add all extended costs to get the total MSRP value.
