Since I joined Symantec, I’ve had plenty of training to help me understand where the company came from, what it stands for and where it’s heading. Having come from a non-technical background, it was important for me to understand how our solutions help our customers.
I currently work as a Territory Account Manager. I manage 150 customer accounts creating greater awareness of and loyalty to Symantec. My overall role is to grow consistent and predictable revenues. It’s very challenging and I’m always faced with new tasks and responsibilities – it keeps me active and motivated.
Symantec provides all sorts of opportunities for graduates and, in my time here, I’ve progressed from my initial role of Leads Management Rep into Account Management. I hope to develop my skills further and progress into other roles.
The day-to-day work is exciting because I’m helping large customers with well-known, established brands to achieve their goals and protect and manage their data. I’m not technical, I never have been and never will be, but Symantec has taught me to understand the reasons behind the technology and talk to customers about how and why we’re here to assist them.
