With better than 97% effectiveness and less than one in a-million false positives, the Brightmail Message Filter ensures end-users don’t miss legitimate email, helping service providers reduce IT helpdesk costs and customer churn rates.   What is new in version 6.1   In version 6.1 of the Symantec Brightmail Message Filter are several new key features that provide significant performance improvements: A new connection level reputation verdict reduces processing time of messages from senders with a poor reputation and enables MTAs to end connections prior to accepting messages (where supported) and to greatly increase message processing capacity. The Symantec Brightmail Message Filter now contains custom developed regular expression acceleration technologies that allow performance improvements to be made while simultaneously reducing the memory requirements.     How to license   Determine the total units required by your customer Symantec Brightmail Message Filter is licensed based on a Per-User, Per-Year subscription model. Customers purchase a subscription based on the number of employees they want to protect. Unlike traditional Symantec products, Symantec Brightmail Message Filter is not sold on a perpetual license model. This method ensures fair pricing for small network customers, while reducing prices for larger customers running multi-server network environments.   Qualify your customer within a pricing band Based upon the total units to be purchased on a single order, qualify your customer within a band level (A, B, C, etc).
