Duralee Fabrics started in a one-room office in 1952. Sixty years later, the business-to-business fabric design company has nearly 340 employees, a design studio in Manhattan, a warehouse in North Carolina, and 13 corporate showrooms nationwide—all managed from its headquarters in Bay Shore, New York. Network and Telecommunications Manager Joseph Muscarella runs Duralee’s far-flung information technology (IT) environment—servers, network, business applications, desktops, laptops, and even telephones—from headquarters.
