Brazilian hosting provider Hostnet wanted to offer customers a strong authentication option to protect their Web-based administration consoles. The company turned to a cloud-based authentication service from Symantec, enabling Hostnet to offer a free strong authentication credential to customers to improve security and differentiate Hostnet from other hosting providers. No customer accounts using strong authentication have been compromised, helping to reinforce Hostnet’s already strong reputation as a secure and reliable hosting provider.
