anonymous SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)

The SSL that Information Manager uses by default on installation. Anonymous SSL, using self-signed certificates, provides data encryption and data integrity between computers that communicate with the Information Manager appliance. SSL does not provide authentication. The subject and issuer fields of the default, self-signed certificate specify the IP address of the appliance that manages the security directory.
