broadcast address

A common address that is used to direct (broadcast) a message to all systems on a network. The broadcast address is based upon the network address and the subnet mask.

An IP address specified for discovering hosts running the Hardware Abstraction Layer (both Management Servers and managed hosts) within a subnet. 255.255.255.255 is a special IP address that CommandCentral Storage can use to search for hosts within a subnet without crossing a subnet boundary.

An IP address specified for discovering hosts running the SAN Access Layer (CommandCentral Storage Management Servers and Agents) within a subnet. 255.255.255.255 is a special IP address that CommandCentral Storage can use to search for hosts within a subnet without crossing a subnet boundary.
