The ESM modules for Oracle database are used to assess the security of Oracle Databases 10g R1, 10g R2, 11G R1, and 11G R2.

Enhancements

This release of Symantec™ Enterprise Security Manager Modules for Oracle Databases provides the following enhancements:

 

• New Platform support for the following:
  • AIX (64-bit) PPC64 (7.1)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux x86_64 (5.x)

 

• Real Application Cluster (RAC) support for the following:
  • AIX 6.1 PPC64 (64-bit) with Oracle 10.2.0.x
  • AIX 7.1 PPC64 (64-bit)with Oracle 11.2.0.1

 

• The following new functionalities have been added in this release:
  • Uninstallation of the Oracle Application module
  • Logging functionality
  • Options added for esmorasetup
  • A parameter added in the oraenv.dat file

 

• One new check in the Oracle Auditing module (Windows and UNIX)
  • Audit settings

 

• Two new checks in the Oracle Roles module (Windows and UNIX)
  • Granted privileges
  • Granted roles

 

• One new check in the Oracle Profiles module (Windows and UNIX)
  • Profile settings

 

• One new check in the Oracle Patches module (Windows and UNIX)
  • SID info

 

• One new template in the Oracle Auditing module (Windows and UNIX)
• One new template in the Oracle Patches module (Windows and UNIX)
• Two new templates in the Oracle Roles module (Windows and UNIX)
• Two new messages in the Oracle SID Discovery module
• One new message in the Oracle Profile module
