Trojan.FireAnvil is a detection of a particular release of the commercial product Firehand Ember v5.2.3 by Firehand Technologies Corporation. The detection affects two files: Ember32.exe and Fireutil.dll. These files contain built-in functionality that may lead to complete data corruption on a partition on which Windows is installed.

As of September 12, 2002, the download currently available from the Firehand Technologies Corporation website does not have this Trojan functionality.
