W32.Lade is a worm that attempts to spread itself through IRC. It attempts to remove antivirus software installed on the host and may attempt to format the hard drive.

NOTE: Virus definitions dated prior to August 27, 2003 may detect this threat as Backdoor.IRC.Lade.
