SMEG.Pathogen is a polymorphic virus that infects .exe and .com files. It is activated by executing an infected file. It keeps a counter of the number of files it infects, and when the counter reaches 32, the hard drives on the system are disabled. Following this, if SMEG.Pathogen is active and a file is executed between 5:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. on a Monday, then it disables the keyboard, displays a message, and corrupts the hard drive.
