Proteced is a Word macro virus, contained in a module named "Malaysia1998". Upon opening, an infected document will infect the Normal template. Using an infected Normal template will infect other documents as those documents are saved.

An infected document will attempt to disable Word's "Macro virus protection" and "Prompt to save Normal Template" options.

Any attempt to access the "Macros..." option under the Tools:Macro submenu will yield a prompt to enter a password. Entering "Bad Logic" will allow access to the function.
