AOL Gold Trojan is a trojan horse program first reported as being distributed through America Online e-mail in early November 1995. Attached to this message was an archive file named AOLGOLD.ZIP. A README.TXT file included in the archive describes the attached program as a new and improved version of the America Online interface.
