Systems Affected: Windows 2000, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows XP
Run LiveUpdate to make sure that you have the most recent virus definitions.
- Start Norton AntiVirus (NAV), and run a full system scan, making sure that NAV is set to scan all files.
- Delete any files detected as Backdoor.Bionet.318.
- Although deleting the Trojan files will prevent it from running, we recommend that you look for the entry that the Trojan made in the Windows registry, Win.ini, or System.ini file, and remove it. Please see your Windows documentation for information on how to do this.
