Backdoor.SmokeDown is a backdoor Trojan horse which tries to connect to a server on the Internet and download files or other components for the Trojan.

Note: Backdoor.SmokeDown was renamed from Backdoor.Omed



A fake email message pretending to be a Klez fixtool from Kaspersky Labs was used in an effort to distribute this Trojan. This message was manually distributed. We have no reports of users infected by this threat.
