SGH.949 is a memory-resident DOS virus that infects the .exe and .com files. The size of the infected files are increased by 949 bytes.

This virus only works in the DOS environment. If SGH.949 is executed in Windows, it displays the following message, and then quits:

This program will NOT run under Microsoft Windows.

NOTE: Definitions dated prior to February 20, 2003 may detect this threat as Bloodhound.ResCOM or Bloodhound.ResEXE.
