W97M.X3 is a macro virus that infects Microsoft Word documents and the Normal.dot template. The virus also inserts and executes a destructive Trojan on your computer.
W97M.X3 attempts to overwrite the io.sys file, so that an infected computer will not be able to switch on after restart.
