VBS.MetSex@mm is a mass-mailing worm that is written in the Visual Basic Scripting (VBS) language. When VBS.MetSex@mm is executed, it copies itself to several locations on your computer.
VBS.MetSex@mm infects all the .txt, .doc, .inf, .bak, .htm, and .html files in all the local and network drives.
VBS.MetSex@mm mails itself to all the contacts in all the Microsoft Outlook Address Books. The email has the following characteristics:
Subject: <contact name>. HAVING TROUBLE WITH YOUR WINDOWS® ?
Attachment: NTHelp.vbs
NOTES:
- The <contact name> is the name of the contact, who is the recipient of the message, from the Microsoft Outlook Address Book.
- Virus Definitions dated prior to March 4, 2003 may detect this threat as Bloodhound.VBS.Worm.
