W32.Fakelove is a file-appender virus that infects Portable Executable (PE) files. It searches for files whose extensions contain ".e" on drives C through Z and all shared folders. The virus has a destructive payload that is triggered on the 1st of each month. The payload attempts to delete all files on drives C through Z.
NOTE: Definitions dated prior to May 12, 2003 may detect this threat as Bloodhound.W32.1.
