W32.Adclicker.E.Trojan is a Trojan Horse that is designed to click on banner advertisements on certain Web pages. Most likely, these Web pages belong to the author of the Trojan.
When the Trojan runs, this Trojan creates a copy of itself in the %System% folder and may also add itself to the registry under the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Note: %System% is a variable. Trojan.Adclicker.E.Trojan locates the System folder and copies itself to that location. By default, this is C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\Winnt\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP).
