W32.Sakao is a simple virus that attempts to spread itself through floppy disks.

This threat is written in the Microsoft Visual Basic (VB) programming language. The VB run-time libraries are required for W32.Sakao to be executed.

    • \Sadako.exe
    • a:\Sadako.exe
    • C:\WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\FindFast.exe
    • \Myfile

    • C:\WINDOWS\File.exe

  • Virus definitions dated October 20, 2003 or earlier may detect this virus as W32.HLLW.Sakao.
