Behavior


Spyware.SpyBuddy is a commercial keylogger. Its main function is to log keystrokes and information on application use and Internet use on the compromised computer. The spyware can also capture screen shots.

In order to hide its presence on the compromised computer, Spyware.SpyBuddy can be run in stealth mode and may not install an uninstaller or shortcuts.

Note: Detections dated May 9th, 2005 or earlier may detect this some versions of this spyware as Spyware.SpyBuddy.B.

Symptoms


The files are detected as Spyware.SpyBuddy or Spyware.SpyBuddy.B.

This program must be manually installed.
